To provide authentic learning experiences, PDF used Anabu II&#8217;s actual student data for analysis and interpretation to guide the teachers on how to make sense of their school&#8217;s data. Finally, in the third webinar, the teachers learned about literacy strategies that can be used in the classroom and for reading intervention.\u00a0 Various applications were used, such as Google Jamboard, Google Forms, and Kahoot, to make the sessions interactive and to document the teachers&#8217; learning process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Webinar 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cWe need to analyze the data to know in what aspects our learners really need help in. From there we will be able to give the right remediation.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cThe purpose of having and conducting the GST to pupils is very important to know their reading ability and what intervention we are going to perform in a particular student.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cThe use of assessment tools as a classroom-based measure can describe the learners&#8217; reading performance. The information gathered from the assessment can help design and provide appropriate reading instruction for our pupils.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<style>\/*! elementor - v3.15.0 - 09-08-2023 *\/<br \/>.elementor-widget-image{text-align:center}.elementor-widget-image a{display:inline-block}.elementor-widget-image a img[src$=\".svg\"]{width:48px}.elementor-widget-image img{vertical-align:middle;display:inline-block}<\/style>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/philippinedyslexiafoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Anabu-II-task2.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/philippinedyslexiafoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Anabu-II-task2.png 575w, https:\/\/philippinedyslexiafoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Anabu-II-task2-300x200.png 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"575\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Webinar 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cI learned that it takes a prepared evaluation form, a prepared reading material, a ready ear, a conducive place, a ready student and a ready heart to be able to really dig deep into the reading inventory and help these students\u2019 level up in reading and comprehension.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Webinar 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cOne way to create positive change for learner performance is to present material in a different way, reading remediation is needed considering the different domains and the goals to prioritize to design a specialize program for each learner and lastly tract child\u2019s performance by giving positive feedbacks to the learners and parents regarding child\u2019s progress.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cA lot of things I really found useful were the reading techniques to help my learners become a reader and some activities that will encourage them to read.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cI learned many activities on how to give remediation to struggling learners that I can use in my class.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cI learned that it is very important to help every child with their reading skill and guide them properly.\u00a0 And there are so many strategies we can use as a teacher to manage each learner\u2019s needs well.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To acknowledge PDF&#8217;s efforts in facilitating this webinar, the School Division Office of Imus Cavite presented a Certificate of Appreciation to PDF last February 3, 2023, for being one of the stakeholders of Anabu II Elementary School.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/philippinedyslexiafoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Anabu-II-task.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 452px) 100vw, 452px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/philippinedyslexiafoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Anabu-II-task.jpg 452w, https:\/\/philippinedyslexiafoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Anabu-II-task-300x216.jpg 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"452\" height=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Positive feedback about the Anabu II webinar series:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Webinar 2<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cWhat I liked the most were the different examples shown by the speakers &#8211; the actual reading of some pupils and how we interpreted the results of each.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cThe participation and the consideration of the speakers mean a lot to us. They are very accommodating, and they always give us positive feedback in all our answers. They are all bubbly and light-spirited\u2026I was never bored the whole time of the webinar.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Webinar 3<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cThis really makes me search for the answer and in return, I retain more information. To be honest, there is nothing that I disliked about the course. I will definitely be taking another online course from you!\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cThe webinar went well. The speakers were not only doing the discussion, they were also giving games and tasks related to the topic, which made the webinar alive.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201c<\/i><i>I like how the speakers engaged the participants into doing different activities that can also be applied to their classes.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i>\u201cI like the approach used by the learning facilitators because they are not just lecturing us, rather they consistently provide engaging activities and even collaborative activities for us to enjoy while learning.\u201d<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Definition of dyslexia<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cDyslexia is a specific learning disability that is neurobiological in origin. It is characterized by difficulties with accurate and\/or fluent word recognition and by poor spelling and decoding abilities. These difficulties typically result from a deficit in the phonological component of language that is often unexpected in relation to other cognitive abilities and the provision of effective classroom instruction.
